Located in Newport Beach, this project focused on provision for new HVAC including cooling systems for administration and classrooms, library and misc. room such as teacher’s lounge. All controls were stand-alone controls. The deliverables included 30%CD, 70%CD and DSA submittal. Review comments were provided by M&O and all 30%CD and 50% CD comments were incorporated/addressed by the DSA submittal date. It also included a site walk with Facilities at the Assessment and construction support services, Pre-Bid walk meeting, Response to Bid RFC's, Kick-Off Meeting, On-Site construction meetings, CxA meetings, as-builts, and DSA close-out documentation. The HVAC scope included designing a complete system that complied with the requirements of the latest California Mechanical Code. The plumbing scope included providing plumbing that complied with the requirements of the latest California Plumbing Code which included gas piping for new HVAC and condensate piping as was needed for new HVAC. The structural scope included providing structural design that complied with the requirements of the latest California Building Code including providing attachment details and calculations for new a/c equipment as was required. The electrical scope included providing an electrical system design that complied with the requirements of the latest California Building Code including preparing construction documents to re-connect existing wiring or provide new to all HVAC equipment as was required to meet electrical requirements of new HVAC units, designing all 120V power for control system as was designed by Mechanical Engineer, and fire alarm system extension to initiating devices for new HVAC systems for new duct smoke detectors. The architectural scope included providing drawings and specifications that complied with the requirements of the latest California Building Code which included roofing details, patch and repair ceiling, wall, floor as was required for affected areas, and HVAC enclosure(s) or screening as was required for aesthetics and acoustics.
